If the Ticket Office is closed and the ticket machine on the station forecourt is not working you can pay on board the train.

Bristol is about an hour and a quarter from Castle Cary, Bath 55 minutes, Westbury 25 or so; in the other direction Yeovil is about 15 minutes, Dorchester about 50 and Weymouth an hour and 5 minutes.

There is a large car park but it gets very full. If you would like to pay parking charges in advance contact APCOA. Their location reference for this station is 2110.
