To see if the train is going to be on time, click here. If the Ticket Office is closed and the ticket machine on the station forecourt is not working you can pay on board the train.  Exeter is about 50 minutes, Plymouth about two hours. For fuller details click on FGW Guide to train times West 1. For connecting trains at Westbury for Cardiff or Portsmouth please go to the Westbury page. Should the line from Castle Cary ever be closed again, as it was by flooding early this year, services to London and Exeter could still be running from Gillingham (Dorset), with a train every hour each way; this is about 15 miles by road. Just click on the name in the line above to see our page for that station. If you are going to London and want to know the departure time from Castle Cary you can assume it is not more than a minute later than the arrival time we show; we show the arrival times given us by First Great Western. The same consideration applies to trains arriving from London and going on to the Westcountry; we can only show the departure times FGW tell us, arrivals could be up to a minute earlier.

There is a large car park but it gets quite full. If you would like to pay parking charges in advance contact APCOA. Their location reference for this station is 2110.

As a voluntary organisation we can accept no responsibility for errors or changes in times; if you do see an error we would be most grateful if you would let us know by using the Feedback page.
