To see if the train is going to be on time, click here, but make quite sure you are looking at the right train as Westbury is a busy station.

Cardiff is about an hour and three quarters from Westbury, Newport an hour and a quarter, Bristol 40 minutes; in the other direction Salisbury is about half an hour, Southampton an hour and Portsmouth another fifty minutes. A few additional services to Bristol are provided by South West Trains, click here and see pages 12 and 13, also to Salisbury and all stations to London.

For connections to and from Bruton and Castle Cary click on the Heart of Wessex Line Guide timetable page or FGW  Central 3, (or West 1 for Castle Cary only). As well as the trains listed below, there are many other trains on the same line that do not go as far as Cardiff or Portsmouth, and you can see their details too on Central 3.

As a voluntary organisation we can accept no responsibility for errors or changes in times; if you do see an error we’d be very grateful if you would kindly let us know by using the Feedback page.

Saturday times shown here are correct until 24 October, Sunday times until 6 September. After those dates check your times with National Rail Enquiries or FGW. From 31 October weekend times will be affected by major rail improvement works due to the temporary closure of the Severn Tunnel.
